This Missio Community hosts the monthly breakfast for the homeless of Seattle. We are a group of individuals and families that enjoys serving and loving many less fortunate men and women who live on the streets of Seattle. We serve this breakfast the second Saturday of every month and the last Saturday of every month at the First Covenant Church downtown on 400 East Pike Street. Preparation, serving and clean-up runs from 8am until 11am.
No special skills or talents are required: simply a heart that desires to serve and love others in the name of Jesus Christ. Opportunities to serve/participate in this ministry are varied and include table set-up, cooking, serving food, mingling, conversing/ministering with guests and the always popular clean-up!
Families are welcomed and encouraged; many of the folks that attend on a regular basis bring their kids. It is a great way to serve together! This missio of service is best suited to children that are 8 years or older. No long term commitment is required to participate, and we always welcome the extra arms and legs to serve and love this community.
